Tim and I are on a road trip to the North Island to pick up some "toys". A few things were bought on 'TradeMe' which required retrieving from the Wellington area. We drove via Dunedin to pick up Jim's 'Ute' and then up east coast to Picton. Took the Sunday evening sailing to Wellington, and stayed overnight in a cheap motel. Monday morning we headed north to Sanson, where we picked up the "Laser" sailing dinghy Tim was buying.
So... The Mini has (finally) arrived in Te Anau. It all happened in a bit of a rush. We went to Helen Dodson's (Tim Barrow's Mum) birthday, (not specifying age) and were getting ready to leave. We found Dad having a discussion with Pete, Tim's dad. They were discussing the possibility of bringing the Mini down from Dunedin on Pete's trailer. It all sounded great until we saw the trailer, which was already in Dunedin. It was pretty small! We got Gethin out of bed, (about 1:00 p.m.) and piled back into Pete's truck.
