HP You Rock
Gethin's laptop arrived back today, fully restored to it's previous state, all done free of charge by HP. The disk had failed. Gethin sent it to me to fix. I managed to get all Gethin's data off it, but it wouldn't boot, and the HP diagnostics gave a disk error. I got hold of HP to order the windows recovery disks, and a new hard drive. I mentioned in passing to the support engineer that I was surprised that the disk failed after only two years. He agreed, and although the machine was a whole year out of warranty, he raised a case and HP decided to replace the disk free of charge. Their NZ service agent did all the work, including restoring all Gethin's settings and data. Absolutely brilliant service. Thanks very much HP. Cannot give high enough praise.
