It is a gospel song called Take My Hand Precious Lord.
Melbourne
Nicky & I are in Melbourne. We are combining seeing Mike & Carol with the Australian Grand Prix.
Mike and Carol actually live quite a bit out of Melbourne in a little place called Clifton Springs.
While Doug & Jude are battling snow drifts we're lounging by Mike & Carol's pool in 30+ degrees.
We arrived late Monday, so Tuesday we took it easy, and didn't really do much. Mike was in work, but Carol showed us around the local area a bit.
Riber snow
We had some weather this weekend so on Sunday afternoon Jude, Elaine and I went for a Sunday afternoon stroll. We had a great time.
We went up to Bilberry knoll first then back across the fields, down the road to The Dene and across the bottom of the meadow and down Scott's field to the lane to Lowes Farm. Back to Riber up the lane through all the snow drifts to home.
Just a short walk but great fun.

Mini progess
Douglas had a good day today.
Getting to this point has been something of a "learning curve".
Applying the primer didn't go smoothly - in both senses.
We had borrowed an air compressor & dug out my old spray gun. Douglas spent many hours preparing the body, and the plan was to give it one final sand & spray it the same day so that it didn't get chance to go rusty.
March to save Lumsden Maternity
Lumsden Maternity Unit is again threatened with closure. The local community organised a march to protest. For a small place, it was a pretty good turn out.
Nicky & Carolyn enacted an unexpected birth on the side of the road.
Ollie & Hamish carried the banner at the very head of the march.
Both major TV channels had crews there.

Wanaka
Nicky & I are in Wanaka for the weekend.
Nicky was doing a locum for a midwife here and I tagged along, as the midwife who is away has allowed us her houes to stay in.
We came up Friday. Nicky was really busy here, so got straight into work, and I managed to get a couple of hours done too. On Saturday I went for a big bike ride (well, big for me) - about 40km, mostly on single track stuff. I was knackered when I got back to the house, I didn't help that Wanaka was in a bit of a heat wave and the high on Saturday was 36deg.
Mavora mini-break
Nic and I had a mini-break in Mavora this weekend.
Nic has been working really hard, with a lot of time away from home doing locums.
Tim and Jo (and Ollie, Hamish and Meg-the-dog) had been planning a weekend in Mavora, and this was the only weekend we could join them, due to other commitments.
Babbacombe Beach
We spent a long weekend last weekend visiting Maggie at the seaside. For those who don't know she has moved down to Teignmouth in Devon.
Quantock Walks
I have been staying with Susan for abourt a month, to help her in the house and look after Ben during the latter stages of her 2nd pregancy. On my days off from Molly Maiding and Ben sitting I have had a couple of walks in the Quantock hills, an area I had not explored.
