Nicky & I are sitting in Queenstown airport waiting to board the first leg of our flights to U.K.
Monday 22 May
We've been in UK a week. The first couple of days were spent getting used to time zones etc., then we went to Wales. The Tylers were having a meeting with Chris's solicitor. We then went back to Alex T's place before heading to Haverfordwest and St. Davids to see Chris.
Chris is doing well & enjoying his refurbished house, especially the "bar" with pool table & darts. We were up until about 01:30 playing pool and darts.
It's been unseasonally cold the last few days.
Douglas went to Queenstown for the weekend, and went up the mountain to Cardrona to play in the snow.
He ended up (briefly) on national news:Watch it here
(Look for the clown in shorts at 1min 38 secs throwing snowballs.)
Merry Christmas everyone, Vivien and I are in a house called Thurlibeer near Bude, Devon with Vivien's mum, Beth and Tom & children, Susan and Paul & Ben.
Our church youth group host a what is called locally a "coffee house" each year. Think of it as a bit like a concert party. We all go to the community/village hall and take whatever form of entertainment we can do and a desert. We spend the evening sharing and eating the deserts, and entertaining each other. Entertainers age from 10 to 90 . Anybody who can manage to recite a monologue or play enough chords on a guitar to sing gets on the stage. We clap for everybody either because they done well or because they need encouragement.
I am 2yrs and 1 month old, in sax playing time. So here is a link to me playing a jazz version of Summertime from the opera Porgy and Bess by Gershwin.
