Birthday Paddle
Had a great afternoon on the lake. Nic & I decided to take the dog out on the lake for a swim to exercise her leg with zero impact (she has a limp) - we paddle the canoe and she swims. The lake was so amazingly calm that we decided it was too good to waste, so once we'd exercised Kanche we collected Douglas (& a thermos) and set off over the Lake to Hidden Lakes.
Really enjoyed paddling over. The sun was just dipping behind the trees when we got over the other side, and the sand flies were out in force.
Easter
We had quite a pleasant Easter. Kate, Graham & Emma came down to stay. Gethin had time off too, so he came down too. Emma and Douglas had tents on the lawn, and the weather was pretty good.
We didn't do anything special, but did paint and roll eggs. (Graham did a couple of big training rides in prep for his race in a couple of weeks)
